The evaluation of veterinary schools in Europe is carried out by EAEVE (member of ENQA) in cooperation with FVE. The evaluation system is managed through the European Committee for Veterinary Education (ECOVE). The ESEVT evaluation process is a fully transparent accreditation procedure for all EAEVE members as defined by the EAEVE Statutes. As stated in the EAEVE Statutes, the ESEVT is based on a compulsory system of visitations together with periodic Interim Reports provided by the Veterinary Education Establishment.
To be accredited by the ESEVT, a Veterinary Education Establishment and each study programme it provides leading to the degree of veterinarian must be compliant with the EU Directives on the recognition of professional qualifications and the Standards and Guidelines for quality assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG). Therefore, they must meet all the ESEVT Standards, which incorporate all ESG Standards.
In accordance with the European System of Evaluation of Veterinary Training (ESEVT) and based on the educational requirements of the Directive 2005/36/EC as amended by Directive 2013/55/EU, the VEE of the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Kosice is an ACCREDITED Establishment by the European Committee of Veterinary Education (ECOVE).
The University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice was classified (since november 2016) as holding the status of APPROVAL and ACCREDITATION.
