Anotation
Projekt bol zameraný na štúdium účinku prospešných mikroorganizmov a ich bioaktívnych produktov na tvorbu a eradikáciu biofilmu u patogénnych mikroorganizmov. Boli selektované prospešné baktérie za účelom získania a charakterizácie ich bioaktívnych produktov. U vybraných patogénnych izolátov bol študovaný mechanizmus tvorby biofilmu za účelom identifikácie faktorov a génov zapojených do jednotlivých krokov procesu tvorby biofilmu. V in vitro podmienkach bol komplexne skúmaný mechanizmus účinku bioaktívnych produktov na tvorbu biofilmu a rast baktérií. Bol overovaný účinok vybraného prospešného kmeňa a bioaktívnych produktov na inhibíciu biofilm tvoriacich patogénov ako aj harmonizáciu prirodzenej mikroflóry v in vivo podmienkach na modelových pacientoch s dermatitídou. Dosiahnuté výsledky v budúcnosti môžu napomôcť k vývoju účinnejších prístupov resp. prípravkov voči mikrobiálnym infekciám, ktoré nájdu uplatnenie vo veterinárnej a humánnej medicíne.
The project aims to study the effect of beneficial microorganisms and their bioactive products on biofilm production and eradication in pathogenic microorganisms. Beneficial bacteria were selected in order to obtain and characterize their bioactive products. In selected pathogenic isolates the mechanisms of biofilm production were studied in order to identify the factors and genes involved in each step of biofilm production. The mechanism of action of the bioactive products on biofilm production and bacterial growth were comprehensively studied in in vitro conditions. The effects of the selected beneficial strain and bioactive products on the inhibition of biofilm forming pathogens, and also their effects on harmonization of physiological microflora in in vivo conditions on model patients with dermatitis were verified. The achieved results could help to develop more effective approaches or preparations against microbial infections that will find future application in veterinary and human medicine.
